Hi All!
When we moved to Ridgewood in 2007, the Ridgewood Public Library was one of my first stops. I have loved libraries since I was a tiny girl and my grandmother took me to the Rumford Library down the street from her house. Libraries are a great place to get to know a community and of course, to check out books. I still can’t believe that all the books in the world are just free for the borrowing.
Anyway… all this to say that I am beyond excited to discuss great summer reads with two of my favorite librarians at The Ridgewood Public Library next week. When Roberta, our new RPL assistant director reached out to me to see if I would be interested in discussing programming, I think I responded YES before reading the entire email. Talking books with librarians is one of my favorite things to do.
Next week, Lorri, our new RPL director, Roberta and I will host Check It Out: Great Summer Reads. We have each chosen five books across many genres that we think are great summer reads. We read widely so you will see everything from thrillers to literary fiction and more on our lists. What we share in common though is a love of books and sharing them with fellow readers.
Come and listen in as we discuss these books and more. And as an added bonus, our selections will be available for immediate check out.

I can’t wait to see many of you next week and in the meantime, please share this newsletter with local friends who might want to join us! And of course, please leave a comment with any books that you think would be great summer reads- I am always looking to grow my list!
xo,
Stacey
Love this idea, Stacey. I’m on the board at my local library and you’ve inspired me with this. I’m going to bring the idea to our next meeting. Thanks and hope it’s a hit in Ridgewood!
