Hi All,
This week, I finished Grady Hendrix’s latest, Witchcraft for Weyward Girls. I’m not sure yet if I recommend it but there was one quote in the book that jumped right off the page.
It reads:
“Power without mercy is cruelty, and isn’t that what you’re subjected to now?
This year, as I have sat down to write these weekly messages, I think ‘next week, I will be able to make sense of what is going on.’ But here we are again. I keep thinking of all that has happened since we turned the calendar to 2025 and it feels unreal. Planes are falling out of the sky and the people of LA are trying to rebuild their lives. And all this tragedy lives among the number of cruel, illegal and nonsensical things this administration keeps doing and saying. And the fact that there seems to be no organized effort in the government to stop it. has me doomscrolling in ways that are not good for me or for my creativity.
So for now, I will share the books, podcasts, tv shows and movies that I am enjoying and I hope you will do the same.
xo,
Stacey
