What I've Been Up To Lately
Hi!
This January, I began working part time at the Ridgewood Public Library which is something I have wanted to do for a long, long time. I am loving the work and am finally settling in to a schedule that is not completely in my control. For the past twenty years, I have created my schedule. For a few years, I maintained a private practice serving as a speech therapist and reading specialist. During those years, I had a consistent schedule but it was one that I created to fit into my life. Then I worked as a literacy consultant and freelance writer with a schedule that was as flexible as I wanted it to be. And then, I primarily volunteered in our schools and our library so my days were completely at my discretion. Needless to say, it has taken me a good three months to get in to the rhythm of having work days and non-work days. But it is starting to feel a bit more ‘normal’ so I really hope to start putting pen to paper (or fingers to keys as the case may be) a little more regularly again.
I considered trying to write a Reading. Listening. Watching. post of everything I have enjoyed since I last wrote and realized if I did that, I would never actually sit down to write it all out so instead, I am going to include a few highlights below with plans to get back in to a more regular routine.
I hope you are all well and as always, I would love to hear what you have been reading, listening to and watching!
xo,
Stacey
