Yesterday, a group of fellow bookish friends gathered to talk about books written in the decades in which we were born. We had representation from the 1930s to the 1970s and what was so amazing was how many of the books (children’s books especially) have stood the test of time.
I would love to grow our list so comment below with your contribution and I will include all of our titles in Friday’s newsletter.
From the 1960s.
Children’s book - Where The Wild Things Are. Maurice Sendak. 1963
Adult fiction - One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest. Ken Kesey. 1962.
Have read both countless times over the ensuing decades and think they both have stood the test of time.

Great additions! The 60s were a rich decade for literature for sure!
